Yes, a Target lover. If I’m not mistaken, probably all of these items are from Target. Feet not included.

Hi, I’m Liz, the person who is writing deep fragile grace.

Why deep fragile grace, you ask? Why not my name, you ask?

First, I’m a private (ish, private-ish) person, I like to still think I have some veil of privacy although I write a blog.  Ha! Privacy.  I’m even kidding myself some days.

Anyways, so that’s why I don’t have my whole name as a website address.

Second, I like the words “deep”, “fragile” and “grace”, and think they are words that describe both me and my outlook on life. They’re also beautiful words to boot.

I find that my life and my faith is full of deep, fragile grace.

Deep as: not shallow faith or appreciation of life; deep as in that feeling that goes down into your very marrow.

Fragile as: in who I am, who you are, and how the world tends to spin.  One day is solid and steady, and I am sure of my place in the world; how much God loves me. And one day I’m not. In the difference of a heartbeat, it seems that the world is so shaky, delicate, and balancing on a thumb tack instead of resting steadily in God’s hands.

And grace: that there is always more than enough grace from God for all of us, and all of our sins, problems, insecurities, and frailties.

Clear as mud?

This blog obviously has a Christian bend. I will be honest; most of the posts will be about God, Christ, and these and other subjects that fascinate me. But don’t hold me to that exclusively. I am also very human, so writing a post about cute shoes or a funny post about my misadventures in life is within reason.

All that to say this: enjoy.

Thanks for taking the time to read; a blessing for me.

Hope my writing blesses you as much as you reading my writing blesses me.
